Will the cat - badly beaten

When we first heard about poor Will, we didn't know if he was either beaten or hit by a car. He was taken to a shelter in Greenville, SC by a good Samaritan. He was sitting there in pain until our friend at the shelter contacted a rescue about helping him. She can not take him as they have just taken in a lot of cats, but wanted the poor cat to get to the vet asap so she asked if we could help with the vet costs.

Will is at the vet and the vet thinks he was beaten, not hit by a car.

Now the hard part---find someone who wants to adopt him. The vet is worried about him finding a home and not about her fee. She said he is a super affectionate cat.

DaLinda Needs Out of Henry County Shelter

DaLinda at Henry County GA
DaLinda is a black cat and black cats and kittens have it the worst in the GA shelter system Sadly without a rescue or an adoption DaLinda will be killed. Theshelter volunteer said she is the sweetest cat, reminds her of HuggyMomma. Her collar is covered in rhinestones and jingle bells. Thissmall fact made me cry. How do you buy your cat such a pretty collar, shower her with affection and then dump her at one of the highest killshelters for cats in GA?? DaLinda is located at Henry County AnimalCare and Control in McDonough GA

Please. please if you have room in your rescue or home (and heart) for DaLinda please email us at kat5animalrescue2@gmail.com

Transport to other areas of the US can be arranged for DaLinda.

DaLinda is still at Henry Co Animal Care and Control but she needs toget out today. She has a hold on her until tomorrow but no one can pickher up tomorrow so today it is.

We have someone ready to go pickher up, get her to boarding for her quarantine and to the vet for hertests, spay and shots. However Kat 5 never pulls a cat or dog with outfunds to pay their bills. So before she can get out of dodge DaLindaneeds a little spending money to pay her bills

$70 -for boarding (14 days @ $5 a day)
$70 -spay
$40 -combo test
$50 -transport
$35 -rabies and vaccinations

$265 total for DaLinda's bills.

Wehave not received all the bills for the previous cats saved so we arenot sure if there are any leftover funds to apply to DaLinda. So wewill need the full$265 for her. If we do find there are funds left overfrom previous cats we will apply them to DaLinda's fund raiser.

Online Auction to Benefit Dogs/Cats NOW OPEN

New items added! Opening bids lowered some items are Buy Now!!
Kat 5 Animal Rescue is currently holding an online auction to benefit the pets of our rescue. We currently have 2 puppies with unpaid medical bills (please see our blogs about Rock and Butterscotch) and we would like to FINALLY launch our proactive programs: Litters To Go (SM), Traveling Tails, Snip Tuck and Dante's Infirmary. The only thing stopping us from launching our new programs is funding. Also before we pull another pet out of a shelter or harm's way we need to pay Rock and Butterscotch's bills.

Please help us to help the pets in harm's way by viewing our auction items and bidding on one or maybe even two.

There is something for everyone: autographed Islander hats, jerseys and bobble heads. Autographed film star photos, handmade jewelry, Banana Republic jewelry, artwork (some signed), dog themed picture frames, Sheraton hotel stay (pet friendly) Reiki session, hand bags, books, PS/2 and PSP games, handmade soaps (you choose your fragrances )and much much more

Please take a moment to check out the auction and help a pet in need.

We received this plea today from a shelter volunteer.

There is a male 5-6 week old black lab mixed pup at Dekalb. His belly is distended from worms and he has the start of KC, the pup also has a lump on one side above his ribs that feels like some type of soft tissue injury. The poor little thing is not really eating his food, just licking the gel off the canned food. He is being held in the intake bay and has not been exposed to the general population.
I am heartbroken that I could not take him today while getting pictures, I only pray that he makes it through the night. If anyone has room in their heart and home for this sweet baby, please contact the adoption/rescue coordinator immediately!

This pup desperately needs our help! The volunteer has offered to help sponsor this puppy to give him a second chance by matching the first $50 in donations, but we will still need to raise funds before we can commit to pulling a special needs pet.

Total Funds Needed: $200

Current Donations: $65

Still Needed: $135

We will need to act swiftly if we are to raise the sponsorship in time. Please help spread the word, cross-posting is one of the easiest ways to help out. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible. Thank you to all of our supporters, we could not continue our work without all of you!
